Here are Elisa's 6-month portraits, for those of you who haven't already seen them on facebook. I am not 100% happy with them, partly because Elisa REFUSED to smile (she just stared instead) and partly because I think the photographer wasn't very good. I wanted a pic of Gabe and Elisa together, and most of them she took Gabe has turned his head, and the only one I like turned out blurry! Oh well. I think Elisa's beauty made up for the fact that she wasn't smiling, so they turned out pretty good anyway. I spent $12 on these--actually, $0 since our sitting fee is free and they send the pics to your email--the $12 was spent on 3 8X10 printouts :). I love JCPenny because they are SO cheap and you get a lot of pics, but then again, the photography isn't amazing. But my kids are amazingly cute so it all works out just perfect!

Happy Birthday to ME and Other Randomness
Now that I have had many (27 to be exact) birthdays, they seem so much less exciting. In fact, I drea their arrival. I would love to stay at 25 forever; I'm scared of turning 30! Of course, I'm sure one day I'll look back and think "27 is so young!" but for now I feel like an old woman. Actually, I have plenty of energy, no grey hairs, and hardly any wrinkles to complain about. Most importantly, I am exactly where I want to be in life: I have a kind, wonderful, loving husband, TWO beautiful, perfect, healthy children, a nice house, a great job, and good friends. So I shouldn't complain about my age. But yuck, nearing 30 just scares me.
Anyway, Erik spoiled me on my birthday. He made me a yummy cake, gave me beautiful flowers and some nice presents. My sister Lisa was there too and bought me Chick-fil-A for lunch, and then a friend stopped by and gave me some yummy cookies (thanks Jodi!). Then I got a lovely letter from the local library telling me that I owe them $35 for a water-damaged book I checked out. Nice. Great birthday present. NOT. Erik and I couldn't go out for a birthday dinner because he had practice for the stake musical that night. We went out the following Saturday though to the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday.
Pretty lilies from Erik
Gabe's bff Eva came over for a visit
My old carrier fell apart so Erik got me a new one--it has been so helpful, especially on our trip!
Love this movie!
It's a little hard to see, but I'm holding a miniature grand piano. If you don't know already, I collect miniature pianos.
Erik's super-delicious cake. Rich chocolate with cream-cheese frosting--my favorite!
And now for some other randomness:
My Grandparents stopped by for a visit, Sat. Nov. 5th. We enjoy their visits! This was their first time seeing Elisa:
Awww. Elisa in her big bro's hat:
I got my hair cut (a month ago). Chopped quite a bit off but it still ended up being slightly longer than I wanted. I should have told her to take more off. Oh well:

Lisa's Visit/Halloween
On October 30th, my sister flew down to see us from Chicago instead of going home. It was one of the "just because" visits :) We had fun buying stuff, playing with our cute girls, and of course, celebrating Halloween!
Me and Lisa and our girlies went to the last part of Midwestern University's Halloween party. Erik took Gabe earlier since I had to teach piano. Gabe had tons of fun, but wouldn't keep his costume on for long.
Elisa as a bee
Aaliyah as Minnie Mouse because her caterpillar costume was too hot for this AZ weather.
Me and my girl, eating her ribbons.
We then headed over to our friend's house for Chilli and Trick or treating. Thanks Riddles!!
So Cute!
I love that bee butt!
I really should have gotten a better photo, but Erik dressed up as Dr. Oz for Halloween. His 3rd year in a row dressing up as some type of Doctor for Halloween!
Gabe and Eva in Sariah's "time-out"
Elisa's boyfriend, Anders
Gabe's stash of Candy
Other random but adorable pics.
We also went to the AZ State fair. We all enjoyed the butterfly garden and the petting zoo. I forgot our Camera but here is some pics from Lisa's phone:
