Disneyland/CA 2011!

We had the opportunity to go on our annual trip to Disneyland!! We went at a great time---the end of October, so the lines were not too bad, plus they had the park and the rides all decked out for Halloween. We went with Erik's parents and Makayla.  We also got to meet up with our friends Autumn and Zach.  Gabe had lots of fun (mostly playing with Grandparents) and Elisa got lots of attention in her Minnie Mouse dress I made for her.  Of course Erik and I enjoyed the park and not having to do any work!  Here are the pics:

Day 1: The Arrival
The babies were really good on the drive to CA.  Of course Elisa had a diaper explosion.  She sure was glad to get out of her carseat! We had fun swimming at the hotel, and eating at the Crab Cooker (our trip to DL isn't complete without eating there!:

Elisa eating a breadstick.  I took a video of Gabe almost the same age eating a breadstick from the Crab Cooker so I just had to take this video of Elisa!

 Day 2:  Disneyland!
It was chilly in the morning and Gabe was SO tired.  We headed over to Toon Town first and the first few rides kinda freaked him out. After he took a nap he was much better and loved LOVED Gaget's go-coaster ride and Autotopia:

 Day 3: CA Adventures.
Gabe loved the Toy Story ride and Playhouse Disney.  Watch the video, it's really cute!    We enjoyed all the rides and seeing our friends.  By the end of the day though the kids had had enough.  Elisa screamed herself into a fitful sleep!

Day 4: Newport Beach and heading home.
Gabe loved the beach, since the water was freezing he stuck to playing in the sand.  Elisa didn't care too much for any of it.  We ate at the Crab Cooker yet again and headed back home.  We had a stupid detour that extended our drive home by an hour, and poor Elisa got tired of her carseat and screamed her head off the last hour of our trip.

We had a very fun trip! Thanks to Erik's parents for taking us.  We are sad however, that we missed the new Star Wars attraction and Space Mountain.  I guess we'll just have to go again, preferably before Gabe turns 3!
