Our Recent Trips

Our Recent Trips have been localized to the Phoenix area, since it is hard for Erik to get some time off.  The best part is that they were all FREE!

Phoenix Children's Museum gave out free tickets at the library-very nice, since it is $11 per person, including Gabe.  I went with some friends (since Erik was still gone on Rotation in Texas) at the very last day of September.  Gabe of course loved it (it was his third time).  Here is a photo dump of that trip for ya:

The kids, with their stolen suckers.  Well, Gabe stole his.  Oops.

"Lunch" break.  We weren't going to pay $7 for a nasty sandwich, so we just ate whatever snacks were in our bags.  We were all still hungry after that!

Gabe loved playing in the beans!  I had to take him away when he started flinging them everywhere.

Elisa enjoying herself.  I liked how they had bumbo chairs lying around everywhere!

Last Saturday (Sept. 10th), we all went to Pueblo Grande Museum and The Museum of Natural History, both in Phoenix. The Weather was quite nice, a blessing since most of the Indian ruins were outside:

We thought the Pueblo Grand Museum was pretty cool, but I think I've had my share at looking at old pottery for awhile!

Erik and I enjoyed the Museum of Natural History, and Gabe especially had a blast!
A real dinosaur bone!

Don't worry...that's just a napkin over Elisa's face.  She was licking it, so obviously she could breathe just fine :)

Every 15 minutes or so there would be a "flood" complete with lightening.  Gabe thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Playin' around

Can you spot Gabe's cute face in these old movies?

4 Months Old!!

Make that 4 and a half months old as of today.  Our sweet little Elisa got her shots today.  Erik has Fridays off so I made him go in with her.  I scheduled Gabe to get his flu shot as well (@ Lake Pleasant Pediatrics w/ Dr. Ravi) so for a minute there we had two screaming children.  But Gabe got over it and so did Elisa--kind of--she had a hard day after that.  Poor girl.

Here are her stats:

Weight:  14 lbs----40th percentile
Length: 26 in.-----90th percentile
Head: 16 in.------40th percentile

So another long baby.  She's definitely more petite than Gabe was, but that's okay, we like little girls and big boys!  I can't believe she has doubled her birth weight.  And I especially can't believe she's four months already.  Crazy.  We love her!!

Elisa's Blessing Weekend

Last weekend Erik's parents came down for Labor day and Elisa's blessing.  I was a fun weekend and it was nice to FINALLY have Erik home! Erik gave Elisa a very nice blessing and she looked beautiful in her gown.

It was hard to strap her in her carseat with the long dress on!

I embroidered her name on her gown, you can't see it very well here though

Yet Another Blog

I know you're going to roll your eyes at me, but I gotta do it.  I'm going to create a craft blog.  Yes, I know there are a bazillion of them out there and I already have my cake blog, but I have made so much stuff and I want to share it all with you.   Also I don't want my diversions to clog up my personal blog; I want it to be mainly about our family. So please, don't make fun of me for making another blog! :) It is just for fun and I hope you enjoy seeing all the junk I made and will make.

Stay tuned.  I will be on it soon.  I just wish for a few more hours in the day!

Elisa

Wow.  Sorry for the no post guys.  But thank you Erik for making a blog post and thanks to the rest for you for looking at my blog! I have had family in town for two weeks and then our modem died and Cox was being retarded so I've been without internet for awhile.  But mainly I haven't gotten the chance because I've been a single mom while Erik is away on rotation in Texas--I haven't had much time to do much but take care of kids and sew, sew, sew--more on that later though.

Anyway, I wanted to dedicate this blog post to my dear little girl Elisa, because she is just growing SO FAST and I've been horrible at keeping up on her baby book, so this post will have to do for now.

Elisa is such a sweatheart.  She is a really good, happy baby.  We are finally starting to figure things out with her so she has been a lot less fussy and much happier.  She loves being held and talked to...she just eats it up!  She loves to talk back and since this past Tuesday (right in the middle of piano lessons, of course!) she's been experimenting more with her vocal chords and really belts out some cute loud noises.  A couple of weeks ago she learned to hold her weight on her legs.  And just a couple of days ago she has started to giggle...I mean really giggle! I need to get it on camera, it is the cutest thing ever! Also she has been SO slobbery this past month! She can slobber up a shirt in a matter of minutes.

She is getting big big big!  She isn't quite as chunky as her big brother was, and I am totally okay with that.  She is very long like her big brother though.  Her hair has started to grow and that is making me very happy! It is very light (compared to mine, at least).  She also has the greenest eyes I have ever seen on a baby! At first I was disappointed that they weren't crystal blue like her daddy's, but now I LOVE her eyes and I hope they stay green forever!  Most people say she looks like me, but I see a lot more of Erik in her than I do with Gabe.  Especially when she smiles; she definitely has her daddy's smile! We love that girl so much! Gabe loves her too, he is a really sweet big brother.  He has gotten so much better with her, I can leave the room (for just a sec) without worrying about him loving her to death, I mean that literally :S.  He loves her just enough now :) She loves Gabe too, it is fun to watch her watch him and see her smile at him.
Well enough of me blabbing.  He are some of my favorite picture of her:

 I love her cute face!

 Mommy and her girl

I love this: her mouth is frowning but her eyes are smiling!

Her adorable profile and my favorite jammies on her

I love this one because this is my view of her when I hold her

 So darling!

 Love those green eyes!

 Such a cute little personality

 They are good buddies!

 Such a sweet face

Happy girl! She love having no clothes on.

 So pretty

Big brother Gabe loves her!
